Information should be available for everyone. Sharing of knowledge and opinions are a key for innovation wether it applies to music or any other subject.
I live in a small european city where techno is not very popular. I dont have friends who share the passion I feel for this music. I am not by any means a good dj or producer but I enjoy every second of it. Studying theory, learning, experimenting and uploading tracks to soundcloud that everytime you listen to them you feel the urge to make more changes

I lived for some years in other city where I enjoyed partying for hours, dancing, meeting people and listening to my favourite djs and producers perform live.
Sadly right now I dont have enough time for this hobby due to my personal situation and therefore I actively avoid producing or djing because it takes sooo much time that I need for other (more boring) stuff.
That was when I came with the idea of Ungatekept.net.
An Internet forum where people can share information, knowledge, opinions and experiences related to techno. I know Reddit exists but those subreddits are full of boomer gatekeepers. If you go there trying to talk about any artist releases from this century the only answer you recieve is shit like:
No shit bro you liked the music you used to listen to when you were young? Umbelievable mate, so unique. Oh and everything released after that is not real techno (or good music)??? Oh okey. I get it. You are old (and that is fine) but you are retarded. Then you check their soundcloud and every track sounds like a kid hitting a drum machine with experimental (retarded) synths and 3 tons of reverb and delay. Yeah, so deep..."No bro that is not real techno, real techno is what I listened when I was 20yo."
I hope this is the beginning of a nice community where old and new electronic music is appreciated and respected. Artists of today have a lot to learn from artists of the past and vice versa.
The real avant-garde can only be today, because what was yesterday is now history.
